This fantastic piece of work – a map to the dreamlands of H.P. Lovecraft – is the brainchild of Jason Thompson, a comic artist and Eisner-nominated author (also, someone who has slept in my guest bedroom). The image is part of Jason’s promo work for his latest Kickstarter project, which aims to build up funding for a comics project inspired by Lovecraft’s only full-length novel, The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath. You can check out the almost full-size version of the image here – and if you like what you see, you can support his work via Kickstarter here!
Via Literaticat on twitter, I’ve been introduced to Polidori Chocolates, purveyors of artisan marshmallows and Lovecraft-themed truffles. Personally, I’m down with anybody who name-drops the original The Vampyre author, especially when they add chocolate to the mix.
In addition to the dastardly Choconomicon, Polidori offers a Gothic Weekend truffle selection and a Seven Deadly Sins (plus one!) set. They’re running a limited-time offer of buy two, get one free if you pick up one of each of the truffle collections, and a similar three-for-the-price-of-four deal on artisan marshmallows, although the site doesn’t say exactly when the deal runs out. Might be just the thing for our next evening of Arkham Horror!
